Policies

• No single criterion is used to judge applicants. Southeastern Academy seeks a student group diverse in talents, background and outlook. Students of any race, creed or national origin are encouraged to apply.

• Scholarship aid is available for academically qualified students with demonstrated financial need. A family seeking scholarship assistance should inform the Academy at the beginning of the admissions process. Admissions decisions will be made separately from scholarship decisions.

Procedures

• Any interested parent is requested to make an appointment to tour the school and meet with the administrator prior to application for enrollment. At that time, parents are encouraged to ask about particular areas of interest.

• An application may be submitted any time prior to or during the school year. Once the application is received with a $300.00 admissions fee, the administrator will make arrangements for the admission test for the applicant.

• All applicants for enrollment are subject to review and approval by the Admissions Committee. If an applicant is not accepted the admissions fee is returned, otherwise the admission fee is non-refundable.

• The Admissions Committee makes a decision within thirty days from receipt of the application unless special circumstances apply.

• Class size is limited to eighteen students in grades one through nine, fifteen students in Kindergarten, and twelve students in Junior Kindergarten. In the event a class reaches its capacity, parents may request the applicant to be placed on a waiting list in the order the application was received.
